Lynn Ellen Bathke

Lynn Ellen Bathke is a distinguished textile conservator known for her unique blend of artistic vision and technical expertise. She holds a Master's in Textile Conservation from the University of Southampton and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Fiber Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Currently, Lynn conserves textiles for the Obama Foundation, protecting significant cultural artifacts. Career highlights include key roles at the Skirball Cultural Center and the Academy Museum of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, where she contributed to acclaimed exhibitions like Fearless Fashion: Rudi Gernreich, Diane Von Furstenburg: Woman Before Fashion, and Hollywood Costume.

As an adjunct professor at UCLA School of TFT, Lynn is dedicated to inspiring future costume historians and conservators.

Caitlin Talmage

Caitlin Talmage is a costume technician, researcher, and historian at The Costume Conservatory. She attended Occidental College where she received a B.A. in English and Comparative Literary Studies in 2007. She received her M.F.A. in costume design at University of California, Los Angeles in 2011, and while a student interned in LACMA’s Costume and Textiles Department. 

Caitlin has decades of experience working on modern and historic costumes in film and television, and is a proud member of Locals 705, 892, and 209. She also has an extensive background in museum dressing and mount making. When not working with costumes, Caitlin can be found in her painting studio, where she specializes in oils and watercolors. Her work was selected to be included in Manifest Gallery’s most recent season.
